Well Steven, it's been hard for me to find the right words to honor you with. Funny; you know me I'm never speechless.
I want you to know that I love you and have since the day I met you. You are a beautiful person. I miss you very much. I just still don't believe this happened not to you! Anyway, don't worry about "your sweetpea" you know I'll always have her back and will stand by her no matter what. You just need to take a rest now and get familiar with your new surroundings. Watch over Diane and I-you know how we are! Keep laughing and smiling the way you do-because I'll be listening.
Thank you for the gift you have left me with and also for letting me be a part of your and Diane's life. We did have fun together no matter what we did. I love you and will miss you but; we will meet again. Until that time remember you will always be in my heart. I love baby.

Aside from the memorable week we spent together at Emerald Isle, we didn't know Steven well. But we respected him for the happiness he brought Diane and the way he stood by her during her cancer recovery. Steven, I'm sure you're up there with the angels ... making them laugh and, perhaps, ironing the Hell out of everything!

To The Closs Family; May the Lord Bless you and keep you in your time of sorrow. Steven will be truly missed and I will always remember the days back in the Square when we Played Flag Football, baby, horseshoes, kickball. Steven would always try and run off with the flag and I would chase him around until we just laughed and fell to the ground and start all over again. We also enjoyed the yellow bus ride to Riverside Park every Easter Sunday. Those were the days of our youth that I will always cherish. What good times we had(back in the day). To my extended "Bellevue Square Family", I was so sorry to hear about the loss of my friend, my brother, one of our Bellevue Square Soldiers. I thank GOD for the many years that he gave us with Steven, through the Arsenal School days (swimming in the Arsenal School pool with Mr. Roy the gym teacher, through the basketball at the night gym at Arsenal, through the football in the grass on the Canton Street side of the house where Ms. Clara would watch over us and make sure none of us got hurt, through the summertime playground days with Mr. Smith and then Mr. Wallace. There are so many things I could say but there's not enough room on this page for just my memories, but I can say as kids, life was simple and good. I say to Richard, Gloria, Bobby, Keith, Gregory, Eddie and Darren, the Bible says "Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY cometh in the morning". GOD Bless you and be encouraged.
