Steven Dion Obituary

It is with deep sorrow we announce that Steven Michael Dion, 56, of New Britain, has passed away on January 7, 2022, after a short illness at Hartford Hospital. Steven was born on May 13, 1965, to Eugene and Huguette (Perreault) Dion of East Hartford. He attended George J. Penney High School. Steven enjoyed car racing, was a competitive pool player, loved music and spent many weekends searching flea markets for stereo equipment that he refurbished and resold. Steven most enjoyed holidays and celebrations with his family. Steven was friendly with everyone he met, always smiling, and laughing. Besides his mother, he is survived by his siblings: Anne Dion, Alice Ivy (Michael), John Dion (Debra), Carol Mawhinney (David), and Jamie Dion (Michelle), many nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved kitty, Daisy. He is predeceased by his father, Eugene Dion, and his fiancé, Carrie Golliff. Steven's immediate family will be holding a private service.

I was rearranging things in my basement, including a couple of receivers Steven supplied me with, along with general good vibes. I paused in my chore and reflected fondly on my interaction with him.

My deepest condolences to Steven´s loved ones. This broke my heart to hear of his passing. Steven was a part of our "group" growing up in East Hartford. Just the sweetest, kindest guy, always. I will remember him with great fondness. Strength and love to

I´m so sorry to hear about Steve. He was my neighbor in East Hartford and would always come and visit with my kids. He always came over with a smile. He was a sweet person. My sympathies to his family. God has another Angel.

I am very sad to learn of Steven's passing. I met him through a Craig's list ad when I needed a stereo component when he was living in E. Hartford. I kept in contact when I needed something, and was delighted when he moved to New Britain. He was a great resource and very nice to deal with. He also had great taste in equipment, and was a great guy. I will miss him.
