Susie was a wonderful sister, mother and woman wanting only better things for the earth! She is thought sweetly of often and sorely missed!

I'm so sorry & saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. Upon the news, a memory immediately came to my mind about her. When I was around 10 years of age, we had visited Aunt Nan (Daley) in the Bay Area and Susan was living in Berkeley at the time. She joined us as well and sometime during our outings had borrowed some small change from me. After returning home to Riverside, a couple of months later we received a letter addressed to Master DeWitt (my brother) & Miss Priscilla Stanford with a sweet note (which I still have) about our visit together along with a check in the amount of around 80 cents! I remember I was really surprised as I had forgotten all about it. Well, I've never forgotten her thoughtfulness in remembering especially since I'm sure it was my allowance. This simple act has always stayed with me, and of course was an example to always return what was borrowed. She was truly a beautiful woman. My deepest sympathies & prayers are with you and family. God Bless, Priscilla

It was with great sadness that I heard of the passing of my cousin, Susan. Although I didn't know her well, I have fond memories of the one visit my sister, Priscilla, and I had with Susan years ago. She was very sweet and welcoming to us. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

My sister Susie was always sweet and always wanted better things for this earth. Thinking back,I never remember an unkind word between us our entire lives. I will miss and always love her as she really was good to the depths of her soul. Love Ruthie
