SVERDLOV, Susanna Susanna Sverdlov, 68, of West Hartford, beloved wife of Valery Sverdlov, passed away Thursday, morning, (November 3, 2005). She was born in Zolotonosha, Ukraine to Joseph and Maria Grumberg, and lived the first part of her adult life in Moscow, Russia. There she graduated from Moscow Polytechnic University with a degree in engineering, met her husband, and gave birth to her two sons, George and Ilya. The Sverdlov family immigrated to the United States in 1981 and settled in West Hartford. In America Susanna rejoiced at the birth of her three grandchildren, Victor, Evan and Stephanie. She is also survived by her brother Samuil Grumberg and many loving relatives and devoted friends who will remember her as a kind, gentle, courageous woman who never broke a confidence and always put the needs of those she loved above her own. Susanna believed that her family and friends were her greatest blessing. Those who had the fortune to have known her and to have shared in her life are also blessed. A memorial service will be held TODAY, November 6 at Noon at the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford. Burial will be at the Beth El Cemetery in Avon.
