Teresa Reilly Obituary

Teresa (Pallotti) Reilly, 78, wife of the late Joseph F. Reilly, of Glastonbury, passed away July 19, 2018 in Rhode Island. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Rocco D. and Marguerite (Long) Pallotti. Teresa was a graduate of St. Augustine School, Mount St. Joseph Academy and the Catherine Gibbs School of Boston. She loved the beach and spent summers during her childhood with her sister Marianne in Fenwick. For the past two decades that love for the beach was continued in Rhode Island at a beach house they shared which created countless family memories. She loved spending time with her many close friends and looked forward to her Saturday morning get togethers and weekends with good friends. She was a woman of great faith and a devout follower of St. Therese. She was known for praying for others, passing on notes of encouragement, connecting with anyone in need and strived to impact the lives of others each day in her "Little Way." As the wife and mother of coaches, Teresa was an integral part of the South Catholic community and also supported Wesleyan University and East Catholic High School. She regularly attended their games and the games of all her children and grand children. Teresa was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her eleven grandchildren and was the Matriarch of the family. She also was a mother figure for so many including Joe's players, neighbors, and anyone she came in contact with. Teresa was also a loving wife. She met Joe in grammar school and they were married in St. Augustine church 56 years ago. Joe was one of eleven children which help to create many great memories with such a large family. She valued all her relationships with her numerous nieces and nephews and celebrating holidays with the Hawkins'. Her kindness and caring nature will be missed by all. Teresa will be greatly missed by her children, Molly Reilly and Mike Hutzell of Marlborough, Joseph P. and Isabel Reilly of Cromwell and Luke and Natalie Reilly of Glastonbury, her grandchildren, Tyler Reilly, Reilly, Garrett, and Ailish Kleinhen, Joseph Luke, Carly Teresa, Lenna and Johnny Reilly, Luke Joseph, Samson and Rocco Reilly and her sister Marianne Pallotti. She also leaves her brothers and sisters in law, Robert Reilly and his wife Jane, Beverly Strout, Joan Compson, Eleanor Reilly, Mary Ellen and her husband Roger Fortier and Mary Margaret Reilly. Besides her husband, Teresa was predeceased by John Reilly, Clayton Strout, Elizabeth Stocinis, Lewis Compson, Donald Reilly, Margaret Reilly, Richard Reilly and Gene Reilly. Friends may call on the Reilly family on Thursday July 26, 2018 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Teresa's life will be held on Friday July 27, 2018 at 10:00 am in Corpus Christi Church of Christ the King Parish, 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. Molly, Luke & Joe:

So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother this Summer.

I remember her being very supportive of your dad's career and her support of the entire South Catholic community - a very lovely, concerned and friendly woman. I know you miss both of them very much. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

We've been told that nothing that is loved is ever lost, and no-one who's ever touched a heart can really pass away. Some beauty lingers on in each memory of which they've been a part. Your Mom was a really special lady........

My sincere condolences to you all. May the memories of your mother live long and strong in each of you. Sincerely, Jenn (Murphy) Cattier
