Theresa Carcia Obituary

Theresa R. Carcia, 91, of Farmington, Connecticut, beloved wife of Dominick J. Carcia, died Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the Atrium in Rocky Hill. Born in Hartford to Alfred and Maria (Gagnon) Roy, she lived many years in Farmington. She was a long time member of the Church of St. Patrick in Farmington, and she was retired from American Nuclear Insurers. She was a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Carcia's greatest joy was spending time with her family who will miss her dearly. Mrs. Carcia leaves two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roy and Carolyn Carcia of Wethersfield, Chris Carcia of Farmington: two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and William Kipp Snelling of Wethersfield and Lynne and James Wilson of Exton, Pa. She was a loving and proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and their spouses, Andrew and Alena Snelling, Steven and Jenna Carcia, Erin Snelling, Matthew Carcia, Mariana Carcia, Emily Wilson and Spencer Wilson. She also leaves three great grandchildren, Giuliana and Sienna Carcia and Jonas Snelling. Mrs. Carcia also leaves a sister Jeanette Swietlicki of Sun City, Florida and cousins Richard Lesperance and Gus Lesperance both of Florida. Mrs. Carcia was predeceased by her husband Dominick J. Carcia and a granddaughter Elizabeth Lee Carcia. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Church of St. Patrick in Farmington. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Farmington. Everyone is requested to meet at the church. Arrangements are being made by Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home in West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elizabeth Lee Carcia Fund, CCMC Foundation, 282 Washington Street, Hartford, CT 06106.
