Tom was one of my favorite principals. All anyone had to say was "books" and he was in. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Tom was my principal at John Barry school and then brought me with him to Roger Sherman school. He visited my class often. Whether it was to join in the fun of pretending to be a polar bear in a giant box it reading his favorite The Big Orange Spot on orange day his enjoyment and respect of children was evident. He let me teach the way I wanted and that is saying a lot. RIP Tom

Tom was passionate about everything he did. He had a remarkable way of getting staff excited about and invested in the many new and innovative programs he piloted. I enjoyed my years working under him at John Barry. My sincere condolences to his family.

Sending my sincere condolences to Tom's family and friends. I began my career working under him for many years. His message was clear. Get students to love reading. He was one of the most passionate educators I have ever worked with. The picture shown above is actually when he came to read in my classroom many years ago. He will be missed very much!

To lose a family member is extremely tough to go through, my brother Tom grew up in a large loving family. He was a wonderful person to lead his siblings through tough upbringing in hard times at an early age. He went on to give back to children he taught because he realized how much they needed him. So proud to have you as my older brother. RIP
