Thomas Clark Obituary

Thomas Michael Clark, 59, of Amston and formerly of Colchester, passed away Sunday (Feb. 8, 2015) surrounded by loving family and friends after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. Born June 22, 1955 in Hartford, he was a son of the late Herbert Finley and M. Patricia (Wakely) Clark. Tom was a 1973 graduate of RHAM High School in Hebron. Owning and operating "Stone Walls by Tom Clark", his talents and life's work will endure for generations throughout the region. An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, he also loved fast cars and was a die-hard New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. He leaves his loving companion and best friend, Lynn M. Bjork; his son, Michael Hallowell, daughter-in-law, Lucinda and granddaughter, Stephanie, all of Enfield; his brother, Michael of Colchester; his furry companion, Suzie-Q; and numerous cousins, extended family members and friends. In keeping with his wishes, family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, offer condolences and celebrate his life from 4 to 7 PM Wednesday (Feb. 11th) at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 238 W. Town St., Norwich 06360. www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com

My deepest sympathies to the Clark family at this time. The loss of a great person with the talent of learned craftsmanship. Willard Miles also died in March and he also had the talent and craftsmanship and used it. They were gone too soon.

Our deepest condolences to you, Lynn and all of Tom's family.
Our family will never forget Tom's kindness and generosity with his time. He guided and instructed our son and other Boy Scouts in the gentle art of wall building, as they repaired the field stone wall at Hebron's Old Town Pound. He was a talented craftsman and a kind soul.

Tom was truly a Man who represents the Best of what a Hard Working Craftsman can accomplish with dedication and talent. I always enjoyed working with Tom and he will be missed. With all of us locals doing daily "drive by's" of so many examples of his fine work Tom's name is deeply etched for all of us to appreciate. My thoughts and prayers are with Lynn and The entire Clark Family. Jim Celio and Family
