"Those we love must someday pass beyond our present sight... Must leave us and the world we know without their radiant light. But we know that like a candle their lovely light will surely shine to brighten up another place more perfect... more divine. And in the realm of Heaven where they shine so warm and bright. Our loved ones live forevermore in God’s eternal light."

Some see the Capitol as granite and marble, topped with gold leaf. It is, truly, a building with no greater majesty than the men and women who serve there... many of whom do so by profession, not just politics.
Such a man was Tom Sheridan, whose steady hand as Senate Clerk made for a better Senate and a better state. And that voice: "Theee Senate is voting by roll call, will all Senators return to the Chamber."
God bless his soul, and may you find comfort in the fond memories and gratitude of countless who worked with him.

Dear Nancy, Kevin and Brett,
Words can not express how sad we feel over the loss of Tommy.
First, Michael, then his Dad, and now Tommy. Well at least they are all together with Patricia. I can remember when I was little going to the airport to watch Tommy go off to Vietnam. Everyone was crying but he came back and fell in love with Nancy who he truly loved. He had two wonderful sons that played football...he was a proud Dad! My memories of him as an adult...Tommy was always gracious, laughing, always inviting you over to eat when we came to town, inviting you on the boat and smoking his cigars. We will miss you but I'm glad you are at peace!
All our love to you and the family!

Mama Bear,Brett and Kevin our thoughts and prayers are with you. None of my friends parents ever made me feel as welcome and as much a part of the family as you guys did. Growing up, I looked forward to seeing you as much as I did going to Block Island itself. I'll never forget the good times we had. Mr. Sheridan was one of the most generous, fun loving, genuine people i have ever meet not to mention a fantastic cook! I haven't had the privelage of spending a 4th of July with you in quite a few years but I promise one hasn't passed by that i didn't wish I did. Jimmy Buffett, Beach Punch, Spanish Omelettes, Clams Casino, man size burrittos...oh the list goes on. You were always my favorite of all my friends parents over all my years, I will always remember how awesome you were to me as a kid growing up. You never once turned me away or excluded me from the fun and i apprecieted that more than anyone will probably ever know. Mr. Sheridan truly did encompass what it was to be an American Hero, both in service and as a father and friend.A 4th of July shall not pass that you will not be thought of, you will be missed greatly but never forgotten. All of our love- Ricky, Heather, Rick Sr. and Debbie Harrington
