Walter Niland Obituary

Jack Niland ,85, of Westmoreland, NH, passed away peacefully May 16, 2018 in Keene, NH with family at his side. He was born Jan. 1, 1933 in Meriden, Ct. to Walter and Marie (Bridgett) Niland. He is survived by his wife, Christina, and their daughters, Leigh and Paige Niland, his sons John and Keven Niland, his stepson Brian Heck, his three brothers and their spouses: Thomas and Marcie Niland, Roger Niland and Mariann Weiss and Jeffrey and Elaine Niland, four grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Jack graduated from Southington High School in 1951, then served with the army in the Korean Conflict. He was a life member and past Commander of Keene's American Legion Post 4 and VFW Post 799. He retired from the National Grange Insurance Co. after 25 years. Jack has a love for fishing and hunting and enjoyed a 30 years hobby making maple syrup. Services will be held at the Foley Funeral Home in Keene on Monday, May 21 from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a prayer service at noon. Burial follows at South Village Cemetery in Westmoreland.
