BURBA, William "Tootsie" William " Tootsie" Burba, 67, of Riverside Drive, Southington passed away on Friday morning, (November 5, 2004) at the Hartford Hospital. He was born on Dec. 9, 1936 in Norwich son of the late Benjamin M. Burba Sr. and Kate T. Russo Burba. Mr. Burba was employed for many years in the maintenance Dept. for the UCONN Health Center. He loved fishing and playing the trumpet which he taught himself and his most favorite time was when he was with family. Surviving are three sisters, Frances Burba of Rocky Hill, Katherine Hinkel and Susan Miller both of Willimantic; his God Daughter, Robyn and her husband Bruce Canty of South Windsor, and his companion Martha Michard, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Victoria Keough; three brothers, Benjamin Burba Jr., Joseph Burba and Roy Burba. Funeral Service will be held on Monday 10 a.m. from the Belmont Funeral Home, 144 south Main St., Colchester. Burial to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Colchester. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.

I am sorry for the loss in your family. I did not know "Tootsie" but by reading this obituary I realized he was related to Benji that graduated from Manchester High School in 1980. He was a great person and missed and I would guess that it will be the same for "Tootsie".
My sympathies to the Burba family and friends.
