William Caruthers Obituary
William "Kip" Caruthers, 61, of Suffield passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 14, 2015 due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Suffield. Born January 4, 1954 in Hartford, CT son of Shirley (Yerxa) Caruthers of Suffield and the late William Caruthers he had lived in Suffield most his life. Kip was employed many years by the U.S. Postal Service working out of the Hartford Post Office. He was his mother's caregiver for many years and a very devoted father. Kip and his longtime friends from Suffield would get together at "The Farm" every Sunday and prepare a feast that they would always share with "Mom". He was a good son and has wonderful friends! Besides his mother he is survived by a son, Timothy Caruthers and his wife Jaime of Vernon; His aunt, Natalie Walsh and her partner David Marsh; his family of 30 years at the Hartford Post Office; and many neighbors and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Herbert Caruthers and a sister, Merle Caruthers. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn Cemetery, Suffield. Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home has care of arrangements.

On behalf of my grandmother and my family i want to thank everyone for their prays and well wishes. There wasnt anyone quite like my dad and the world is a lesser place without him. we miss him very much and are staying strong. thank you to all his friends(family) that have helped in the past weeks. i know my dad would be happy knowing that everyone has been there for his mom and my grandma. Words cant really express what my dad meant to us but i know he knows we love him very much and we will never forget the happiness we shared. Thank you from the Caruthers family and God bless.

My Sympathy and prayers go out to the Caruther's family during your time of sorrow. Kip was a great friend, a true Union Brother, and one of the best co-workers one could possibly work with. Kip will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and making people laugh but more importantly for always be willing to go above and beyond to help somebody out. He will truly be missed. Rest in Peace, Brother!
