I have fond memories of travelling with Bill to Dubuque, IA. Dinner in Galena were always the best as he talked so fondly of his life and his family. He was a great man, and on a side note, always told him he reminded me of Bill Clinton:-). He would then oblige me with his best impersonation! Great man, well liked and respected by so many. Was saddened to hear of his passing. Sending you thoughts and condolences during this time.

My condolences. Bill was well liked and very respected for his knowledge and ability to share that knowledge with his Prudential associates. He is missed.

My now-18-year old son met Bill during a Prudential Take Your Child to Work Day, when he was 12 or 13 and Bill taught a Pru History class. Apparently, when he saw my son's name, he told him "I know your mom; I work with her." Scott always remembered that and would occasionally ask about Bill. When I told him this weekend about Bill's situation, his response was "he was a really nice guy, i liked him. he was a cool guy." To make such an impression on a kid in just one encounter says a lot about the type of person Bill was. He will be missed by many. My deepest sympathies, and thanks for sharing Bill with the rest of us.
