Betty Hartzog Obituary
Sumrall, MS
Services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday at Military Baptist Church for Mrs. Betty Lou Hartzog, 87,of Sumrall, MS.
She died Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Lamar Health and Rehab. Center.
Interment will be in Military Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Hartzog retired from BIg Yank Corp.. She was a member of Military Baptist Church and spent her life serving her Lord in many capacities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Prentiss and Ida Herrin; brothers, Curtis, Earl, Bobby, and Simmie Paul Herrin.
She is survived by nieces, Marilyn Mauldin and Rita Hill and their families; a number of nieces and nephews and their families and sister-in-law, Mary Herrin.
Memorials may be made to Military Baptist Church Building Fund.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am Saturday at Military Baptist Church.

Dear Family Members, Betty was my 'sister'. She would visit my Mom, drink coffee and talk to me and tell me she was my big sister. I eventually grew to know what teasing was and she was teasing with me. Betty was a dear friend and a bright spot in my childhood. God rest her soul. She ran a good race. Ms. Betty was always at Military Baptist Church every time the doors were open. She was a friend to all. She serviced her church and community in so many ways. She always met you with a hug and a smile. Ms. Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her. My condolences to Ms. Bettie's family. ✝❤,

Betty was such a precious friend to our family and always willing to help with any problem. Her kindness to my mother, my sisters and me is a memory I shall treasure. She adored her nieces and nephews and always bragged about them. So many memories of happy times sitting around the table drinking coffee and laughing. I thank The Lord for every remembrance of her
