James Sumrall Obituary
Hattiesburg
Services will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday at Hulett Winstead Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. James W. "Jim" Sumrall, Jr, age 80, of Hattiesburg, who died Friday, 8/7/15 at his residence.
Interment will be in Higland Cemetery with Masonic Rites and military rites performed by the VFW Post 3036 Honor Guard.
Mr. Sumrall retired from Wilmut Gas Company after 34 years. He was a commercial, licensed pilot instructor and owned and operated Sumrall Aerial Patrol.
Mr. Sumrall was a 32 degree Mason belonging to the Purvis Lodge 434 FNAM, the New York Rite and the Shriners. He was a past Grand Patron for the Order of the Eastern Star of Mississippi.
Mr. Sumrall served in the MS. national Guard and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mr. Sumrall is preceded in death by his parents, James and Pauline Sumrall, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Francis Keith Sumrall of Hattiesburg; two sons, James "Bo" Sumrall III (Linda) of Denver, CO and Kim Carter of Hattiesburg; one daughter, Ann Lindsey (B.J.) of Hattiesburg and one brother, Donald Sumrall of Palm Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Brandon Lindsey, Kristin Lindsey and Kelly Sumrall and one great-grand daughter, Rylee Lindsey
Visitation will be 5-8 Monday at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 510 Weathersby Road, Hattiesburg, MS, 39402.
