Martha Shows Obituary
Ellisville, MS
Services for Mrs. Martha P. Shows, age 87, of Ellisville, will be held at 11:00 a.m., January 6, 2017 at Jones and Son Chapel with Dr. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery of Moselle. Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Townsend, Rodney Shows, Tucker Shows, Ronald Shows, Roger Shows, Don Mooney and Paul Gregg.
Mrs. Shows was a member of Moselle Memorial Baptist Church. She loved writing and art work. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Shows, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Shows Davis (Bill) and Sherry Shows Cothran (Wayne Williams) both of Ellisville; four grandchildren, Michele Davis and Shannon Cothran (Timothy Schmidt) both of Ellisville, Sonny Cothran (Jessica) of Seminary and Scot Davis (Brittany) of Ellisville; brother, Douglas Yoakum of Jackson and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until service at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle.

Martha and I have been pen pals for many years. She was an inspiration to me. She always had a positive outlook on life. She spoke of Christ in every letter. I will truly miss her. Martha will not be forgotten.
