Dennis Pinkerton Obituary
Dennis obtained his BS degree in criminal justice. He worked as a police officer for the cities of Westminster and Seal Beach, and also for the Orange County Sheriff's office. After retirement, he volunteered as a deputy for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office in Prescott. He owned his own business in Lake Havasu City.
While a Realtor in Chino Valley, one day he answered the phone and had no idea he just met his soulmate Heather who was looking for property. They fell in love and married on May 4th 2001 in Prescott.
Dennis was a man who deeply loved and served God. His heart melted hearing stories of changed lives. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing and life on the lake.
He is survived by his wife: Heather Pinkerton, his son Brian Pinkerton; daughter Lauren and her husband Jason Barfell; son, Matthew Shillington; grandchildren Cailin Pinkerton, Hailey Pinkerton, Jacob Pinkerton, Charlotte Pinkerton and Ireland MacDonald; brother Wayne Pinkerton and wife Maxine; sisters Betty Brandon and Patty Collins.
He touched countless lives and will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Calvary Baptist benevolence fund.
A celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 1650 McCulloch Blvd. on Saturday May 8 at noon.

In memory of Dennis Pinkerton,
I first met Dennis when he and his family moved to Westminster, California -- 1963 or 1964. We were in the fourth grade at that time, and grew up together. Our lifelong friendship was always one of the high points of my life. For all the years I knew him, I admired his character, his morals, and his devotion to family and friends. Most of all, I admired his commitment to God. I loved him like a brother, and I will miss him. To his church family, we all know where he is: safe in the hands of Jesus. To Heather, Matthew, Brian and Lauren, I will keep you all in my prayers. Fred Rumph
