Gale (Snake) Williams, 82, passed away suddenly on March 23, 2025 from an apparent heart attack in Twin Falls, ID while traveling to his summer home in WA.
Snake was born on June 2, 1942 in Spearfish, SD and as a child moved to So Calif. After graduation from Paramount High School, he started a trucking company. He also had a degree in Industrial Design but due to his love of the outdoors, he elected to become a Police Officer instead and served the City of So Gate. CA for 30 yrs. Over the years he worked in patrol, undercover narcotics, motorcycle officer, Explorer Program leader and administration. After retirement he moved to Lake Havasu, AZ.
Over the years he was involved in flat track racing, RV travel, boating, water skiing, square dancing, dirt bikes, remote control airplanes and jeeping. Most of his adult life he traveled in an RV. He was a member of the Havasu 4 Wheelers for 23 yrs. and felt that a jeep was built to climb the tallest water fall and climb over the biggest rocks he could find.
He was a loving caring husband with a love of life. He seemed to have the patience of Jobe and could always inject a little humor into the most difficult situations. People were important to him and he never met someone he didn't like. He also had a prankster side while at work which was his way of making the day fun and a little less stressful.
Snake is proceeded in death by his parents, Maurice & Irene Williams. His is survived by his loving wife of 53 yrs. Evelyn (Willie) Williams, daughter Lynne Jay, son Bryan Williams (Diane), grandson Jacob Williams, sister Cheryl Brewer (Gabe), and niece and nephew.
A Funeral Mass will be held on November 22nd @ 10:00am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. At 11am there will be a "Celebration of Life" in the St Joseph Hall at the church.
