Howard Baker
Howard passed away at home on Sept. 18, 2021. Howard was born to James and Lois Baker on October 23, 1955 in Oconomowoc , WI.
His parents, and brothers Phil and George preceded him in passing, along with second wife Becky. Howard is survived by his sister Sue, and brothers Steve and Bill of Wisconsin , and Curt of AZ and Paul of Indiana along with their spouses and children. He also leaves behind his former wife Mary and their sons Jason, Lee, and Dustin along with their wives and four grandchildren in the greater Phoenix area.
Howard married in 1975 and moved to Lake Havasu and worked with his brothers and friends landscaping. In 1983 he formed Baker the Yardmaker landscaping which operated till 2001. Howard continued aspects of landscaping throughout many years.
Howard was active in the little league. He coached his three sons along with countless other kids over many years. His teams won many games, divisions and tournaments. Howards passion was baseball. He loved the world series. He collected cards with his sons' throughout the years.
Howard also loved music and playing his guitar. He made up lots of songs.
He loved Jethro Tull. The last concert he saw was Paul McCartney at Lambeau field.
Howard was a unique man that many will never forget. A gathering will be held to share stories and celebrate Howard at Sara Park on Oct 16 at 10:30 am. A plaque is being made in his remembrance to be placed at a later date. Those gathered are invited to lunch after at the park catered by Chico's Tacos.Contact Sheila 970-599-0252 to confirm lunch.

I am truly going to miss the wonderful discussions Howard & I had about the Bible. Looking forward to picking up where we left off when I see him on the Paradise Earth. When he would leave Monterey WI he would tell me to behave. I´m gonna take his advice.

I really enjoyed the last couple Summers Howard spent with me in Monterey WI. I wish it could have many many more!
