It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert "Rags" Ragland, a remarkable man known for his resilience, generosity, and heartwarming smile.
Robert, who was known to many as "Rags", was born on May 16, 1942, and passed away on Sept. 29, 2024, leaving a void in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Robert is survived by his loving family. He leaves behind his devoted daughter, Cindy Hooper, and son-in-law, Jeff Hooper. His memory will live on in his cherished granddaughters, Brooke, Allison, and Courtney Hooper, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He also leaves his brother, Jerry Ragland, standing as a sentinel of their shared childhood memories.
Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Guadalupe "Lupe" Ragland. Their love story was one of undying commitment and devotion. His deep sadness at her passing reflected the depth of his love for her.
Robert's passing profoundly affects all those whose lives he touched. His enduring spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his beloved family. We mourn the loss of this great man and celebrate the legacy he leaves behind.

Bob,
Husband to my Aunt Lupe, Father, Brother, Grandpa and friend. A lover of life, travel, food and fun. A gentleman, never failing to reach out if we had not spoken in a while. I was fortunate in that my travels took me to Lake Havasu to help remodel a friends home as well as a subsequent visit in 2022 and 2023. Bob and I enjoyed a great meal out both times and I will fondly remember our visits and conversations.
Bob and Lupe traveled extensively and always had a place as third wheel for my mom Yolanda, Lupe's Sister. This is evidenced by many a photo of the three of them wearing smiles primarily in Mexico.
Bob is missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

I logged on to the internet to verify Bob's address to send a Christmas card and was saddened to see that he had passed away. Bob was my husbands godfather and never failed to send a birthday card to him, myself or our two boys for as long as we knew him. HIs kindness and love went beyond any normal person. He was amazing at keeping in touch through a phone call and we're going to miss him terribly. To say we're incredibly saddened is an understatement. His love for Lupe was evident every time we spoke and he was so proud of his family. He always let us know how everyone was doing and inquired about ours as well. He was more like a 2nd father than a family friend. We pray you know how much he was loved by us and how lucky we were to know him.

My family are saddened to learn of uncle Bob's death. Many times my family and I spent with tio Bob and Lupe. But now it's surreal to be in this moment right now. However although he will be missed by myself and my family hie memory will be a blessing.

My brother Bob, Rags, was a leader, a doer, he loved all of his family, always ready to extend a helping hand, cared deeply, his granddaughters held a special place in his heart as having achieved so much in their lives, the doer. Bob and I shared memories of our childhood, I love and his memory will always be with me.

Bob & I have been friends for 60 years, having worked together since we were very young. After retiring, Lupe, Bob, John & I reconnected & became close. We gathered once a year with other longtime friends for a week or two in the Palm Springs area to enjoy good food, wine, & friendship. We called it "OFR" - Old Farts Reunion. I already miss our frequent phone calls & staying in close touch. Bob was special to so many & I admired his & Lupe´s love & devotion to each other. His passing is our loss but Heaven´s gain. He loved Jesus!

I have known Bob for over 17 yrs Cleaning his Home windows In Lake Havasu City Arizona. I got the honor to know his wife as well. He was a wonderful friend, and Bob will be deeply missed. Are prayer for the family and friends.
