Tommy Ray Rice, 51, of Viper, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 4, at his residence. He was the son of Bernard R. Rice and the late Hannah Smith. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Fannie Caudill Rice, and one half brother, Michael Cochran.
He is survived by three daughters, Desiree Collett, LaHannah Gail Rice, and Lyndsey Marie Rice; two sisters, Mary Sue Bennati and Paula Kay Rice; step-mother, Nancy Stidham; step-sister, Jeneen Smith; step-brother, James Nelson Hendrix; four grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard's Mountain View Chapel, where family received friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 7, and funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 8, with Rev. Rodney Smith and Jody Maggard officiating. Interment was at the Rice Family Cemetery in Scuddy.
