Eitha Myhand Obituary

Eitha Landis Myhand, 85
Louisville
Eitha Landis Myhand passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 17, 2023. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on Jan. 25, 1938 to the late Eitha Marie Rogers Landis and Dr. Edward Everett Landis, Sr. Her loving heart and sense of humor touched all who knew her.
She is loved and survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert; her children, Royden K. Cullinan (Jennifer), James E. Cullinan (Beth), Brian L. Cullinan (Sandra) and Ellen Marie Cullinan (Jon Arnold); her grandchildren, Ethan J. Cullinan (Cassondra), Evan J. Cullinan, Christopher K. Cullinan and Madison R. Cullinan; her great grandson, Talon Loren Conrad-Cullinan; and her brother, Dr. Edward Everett Landis, Jr. (Glenda).
Eitha received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Louisville and studied Fine Arts in the Master's program. She was a devoted wife and mother and a longtime member of Campbellsburg United Methodist Church. A renowned artist in wood, her work has been featured in Southern Living magazine and the Kentucky Governor's Mansion. Eitha was known especially for her meticulously handcrafted and hand painted Noah's Arks, nativity scenes and carousels. She was one of the original exhibitors at the Kentucky Art and Craft Foundation in Louisville (now the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft).
A woman of many talents, she was previously a real estate agent, skilled metal fabricator and manager of the Speed Art Museum gift shop. In her spare time, she obtained her private pilot's license.
The family has chosen to keep immediate services private. They invite you to a celebration of Eitha's life near her birthday in January 2024. Exact date, time and location will be forthcoming.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Arbor Day Foundation.

Rest in peace, Nanny. I loved having you as my grandmother. I loved coming out to Henry county to see you and Bob. I loved how when I was young, you´d bring me and Chris spaghetti in a thermos. I loved who you were before Alzheimer´s took you away. Hopefully as medical treatment advances, we will beat Alzheimer´s and you and the other victims will be avenged. I love you.
