Jack was my brother-in-law. I met him after becoming engaged to his brother John Wesley Munsey. I remember how great he looked in his West Point uniform and how impressed I was that someone from our small town had made it into West Point. He had a great sense of humor along with a great intelligence. I shall miss him. Cathryn Lamb Munsey

We extend our sincere condolences on the passing of my cousin Jack Munsey. I first met Jack when he arranged a Munsey family reunion in Pocahontas, VA and shared the Munsey genealogy that he worked so hard to complete. I'm sorry that I did not get to know Jack better but do know that he was a fine man. Our sincere condolences to Jack's children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Sincerely,
Elissa Munsey Adams (my dad was Harry Skidmore Munsey, Jack's dad's brother)

Col. Jackson Lee Munsey reached for greatness and achieved his goal. Born in a place where opportunities were few he must have worked incredibly hard to get into West Point and graduate; one of the highest honors in the United States. During difficult years he served this nation, in times of war and peace earning two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. Jack told me his dad regretted teaching him how to hunt rabbits so well, but he made it home from the battlefields of SE Asia just the same. My sincere condolences to his children and friends; surely he will be missed. He was a true patriot and I regret not knowing him better. Rest in peace cousin. www.flickr.com/photos/bluebird218/4470012180/
