James "Jadie" Frazier, age 81, of New Castle, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021. Son of the late William Bailey and Thelma Lee (Peyton) Frazier, he was a Physical Education Teacher and Basketball Coach for Barrett High School. Jadie was a talented athlete, was named in the ASA Hall of Fame, was a Fast Pitch Team Pitcher and loved U of L Basketball. He was the owner of Frazier Park Soft Ball Field, an Honorable Kentucky Colonel and was the All-State Basketball Captain for Henry County in 1959. Jadie was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Frazier, and a sister, Pamilla Brewer.
He is survived by his sons, Jim Frazier (Kathy) of Dayton, Ohio and Timothy Wyatt Frazier of Louisville; brothers Roy Frazier (Patsy) of Elizabethtown and Mike Frazier (Carol) of Campbellsburg; five grandchildren: Mike (Young) Frazier, Kori (Robert) Ogborn, Ryan (Candace) Frazier, Shelby (Gabe) Stodghill and Megan (Clay) Fillinger; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Nick Coleman of Pendleton, with burial to follow in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
Active Pallbearers were Ron Howley, Pat Vaughn, Calvin Hensley, Eddie Foree Jesse Grimes and Roy William "Bill" Frazier, Jr.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.

my many thanks to jadie tim jerry jesse henry roy eddie barry jim umpires friends at frazier ball park ienjoyed the wins the losses etc the teams i played with and against were fantastic people thank you for your faith in my skills also mr frazier was always kind to me dr tom

I played softball with Jadie for many years. Great pitcher, great athlete, and great friend. So many cherished memories. I can not attend the service on Saturday but his family will be in my thoughts and prayers. With great respect, Terry Buckles.
