Larry B. Ramsey, age 70, of Pendleton passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026. He was a native of Trimble County. Larry was the manager at Lake Jericho for 40 plus years. He was an avid UK Wildcat fan. He loved traveling, camping, mowing on his Scag and eating at Chinese buffets. He especially loved sitting by a campfire listening to music with his family. Larry was the son of the late Andy Johnson and Jewell Annette (Edens) Ramsey and he was preceded in death by his brother, David Ramsey.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn (Payton) Ramsey of Pendleton; daughters, Crystal Ramsey (Gene Wells) of Campbellsburg, Melissa Ramsey of Pendleton and Chantel Ramsey (Rodney White) of Pendleton; sister, Carolyn (Ramsey) Colbert of Fredericksburg, Ind.; and two granddaughters, Brooklyn and Kynleigh Wells.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. James Nale will officiate. Interment will be in Bedford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22 and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brooklyn Wells, Kynleigh Wells, James O'Hayer, Gene Wells and Rodney White.
Active pallbearers will be Crystal Ramsey, Melissa Ramsey, Chantel Ramsey, Dustin Edens, Todd Nutgrass and Ricky McCane.
