Linzie Marlow, age 77, of Sulphur, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021. Son of the late Charlie Walter and Mary Elizabeth (Thomas) Marlow, he retired from General Electric after 30 years of service. Linzie also retired as Sgt. First Class from the U.S. Army Reserve after 23 years of service. Alvia was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Marlow, and two brothers, Walter and Michael Marlow.
He is survived by his daughter, Tamara Lynn Stough (Michael) of LaGrange; sisters Sondra Heightchew of New Castle and Martha Payton of Eminence; brothers Frank Marlow of Eminence, Ron Marlow of Campbellsburg and Harvey Marlow of Smithfield; and grandchildren Justin and Madison of LaGrange.
Services were held 2 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Nick Coleman, with burial to follow in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearer were Warren Abbott; active pallbearers will be Dallas Drury, Jody McShane, Terry Frazier, Raymond McIlroy, Ernie Fewell and Everett "Willie" Floyd.
