DARLENE JERAULD

DARLENE JERAULD Darlene Jerauld, age 90, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society in Ellis, Kansas. She was born on July 16, 1934, to Theodore & Alma Almeyer Rapier. She was a lifelong resident of Leoti until recently moving to Ellis. Darlene was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a Holy Cross Lutheran Church member and active in the Women's auxiliary. She sold Avon products for 48 years. On June 20, 1954, she married Chester Jerauld in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on August 17, 2012. Darlene's surviving family includes Two sons-Eldon & Stephanie Jerauld of Hays, Kansas Lynn & Debbie Jerauld of Benton, Kansas, her brother Jack & Sheri Rapier of Wichita, Kansas, her sister Joyce Kidwell, nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter, LoVona, and her siblings, Eugene & Eva Rapier, Lavon & Dean Nance, and Shirley & Bud Reed. Memorials may be made to "Holy Cross Lutheran Church" in Care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 161, Leoti, KS 67861. Funeral Services will be held at the Price & Sons Funeral Home, 202 N. 4th St. Leoti, KS, on Saturday, February 15, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Matthew Koterba presiding. Interment will follow at the Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas. Public visitation will be on Thursday, February 13th, from 10:00 until 8:00, and Friday, February 14th from 10:00 until 8:00.
