JOHN WESTHUSIN Obituary

JOHN WESTHUSIN John R Westhusin, 71, of Salina, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025. He was on born January 13, 1954 in Hays KS, to Julius J. and Hattie I. (Bedore) Westhusin. John was raised in Plainville Kansas on his parents farm. John loved the farm life especially harvest time, and helped keep the machinery running smoothly so the harvest could be completed without problems. Survivors include his children Kelli, Brandi and Joe; he was a proud papa to Tripp and Jude. John loved his family and they were always top priority for him. He always helped out when he could. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Gene. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Ryan Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1000 Burr Oak Lane, Salina, with Fr. Keith Weber as celebrant. Interment will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, in Plainville, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Garage or St. Elizabeth, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth Street, Salina, Kansas 67401.
