MARGARET FELDT

MARGARET FELDT Margaret Ann "Marge" (Beyer) Feldt, 95, of Grinnell, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She most recently resided in Overland Park, KS, having moved there to be closer to her family. Marge was born in Hays, KS, on August 18, 1930, to Lillian (O'Leary Urban) and Raymond J. Beyer. She was seventh of twelve children. She graduated from Girls Catholic High in Hays and later married John A. Feldt in Hays, KS. Together they were blessed with nine children. Survivors include her children, David (Peggy) Feldt, Dan (Peggy) Feldt, Deanna (John) Scherer, Donna (Tom) Zerr, Danelle (Jack) Persinger, Doralee (Mace) Townsend, and Dorothy (Jimmy) Helm, sixteen grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Marge's life was centered around her faith and her family. "She is clothed with strength and dignity", Proverbs 31:25 is a fitting description of Marge's lifetime, even in her final hours. She was a beautiful and devoted Catholic wife and mother, known for her grace. She supported and raised her children to be strong and to value hard work. Marge was a member of St. Mary's Altar Society and St. Paul's Daughters of Isabella (D of I) of Angelus. She enjoyed her bridge ladies, playing cards and board games, reading books, and was a forever sports fan - especially of the Grinnell Warriors (Thunderhawks), KC Chiefs, KC Royals and KU Basketball. Marge was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Feldt (January 10, 1999), her son, Darrel Feldt (March 3, 1979), her daughter, Delilah (June 1, 1998), and son-in-law Charlie Krueger (May 23, 1998). She was also predeceased by all of her siblings and their spouses, Clothilda (Al) Kisner, Hubie (Kitty) Beyer, Raymond (Dorothy) Beyer, Frank (Ginny) Beyer, Virgil (Marietta) Beyer, Wilfred James (Mary) Beyer, Esther (infant), Eugene Beyer, Richard (Henrietta) Beyer, Fr. Gregory Beyer, and Joseph (Carol) Beyer; and her in-laws, Jerome (Libby) Feldt, Anna Marie (Frank) Huelsman, Teresa (Fred) Benton, Peter (Margaret) Feldt, Norbert (Louise) Feldt, Bette (Leroy) Younger, Cletus (Lois) Feldt, and Anthony (Mary Ann) Feldt. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grinnell, KS. The family will receive friends and family at the church from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday evening, October 17, 2025, followed by the Vigil Prayer Service and Rosary at 7:00 pm.
