Good bye to my friend of 33 years. Your presence is my life expanded my boundaries on how to live a full life while supporting those people and causes that speak to me and support our global community. I will miss your dry whit, knowledge of sport and taste for the finer things in life. Thank you for all the grand adventures, tipples of white burgundy and most of all your thoughtful introspection. I will always think of you as I pay it forward. Rest In Peace.

Steven had such vision, innovation and what a giant heart. He was an amazing man who was so gifted and generous in spirit, knowledge and philanthropy. He loved his family so much. He left a big footprint of good as his legacy.

I met a Steve in the summer of 1967. We were incoming freshmen at The University of Texas. We became friends almost instantly as we both had a passion for sports. I went back to Kansas City after college and Steve was in Eugene. That distance did not prevent us from maintaining our friendship. Over the years a group of our friends would meet in Austin. It was always a great pleasure to see Steve and catch up on our respective lives. He touched so many lives and accomplished a great many things. Even as we were separated by the years and the distance between us we were good friends. Steve will be missed by so many , but love for him will continue. He will be remembered by his fraternity brothers, the Phi Sigs, his friends from all over and his family. `Dorf´
