Sandra (Sandy) Marie Hamlin
May 7, 1951 - April 7, 2024
Sandra (Sandy) Marie Hamlin passed away on April 7, 2024, in Helena, MT surrounded by family. Sandy was born May 7, 1951, to Henry and Erlene Mercer in Wallace ID. She moved with her family to Clancy, MT where she attended Elementary School through 8th Grade. Sandy attended High School in Boulder, MT where she met Jack, the love of her life. After graduating High School, Sandy attended Kinman Business School in Spokane, WA. Sandy and Jack were married July 10, 1971; they have 2 children, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Sandy gave her life to God shortly after getting married and served Him faithfully for the rest of her life. She was kind, loyal, generous, and enduring. She spent her life serving others, as a wife, a mother, a friend, a volunteer and in her career. Sandy taught and volunteered in every age group at church, moving to the older groups as her kids moved up and then starting again with her grandchildren. She went to every game, recital, fundraiser- if it mattered to someone she loved it mattered to her. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Sandy is preceded by her husband of 50 years, Jack Hamlin; her parents Hank and Erlene Mercer; her parents in law Harold and Marge Pigman; her siblings in law Carol Morefield and Jerry Hamlin; and her grand daughters Makiah Bartsch and Kristi Hamlin. Sandy is survived by her son, Nick (and Tanya) Hamlin; her daughter Bridget (and Jeremy) Bartsch; her grandchildren, Ashley (and Daniel) Schmid, Morgan (and Matt) Sauer, Nikki (and Hunter) Meier, Casimir Bartsch and Jacob Bartsch; her great-grandchildren, Hudson and Hank Endy, Holsten Schmid, Dawson and Myla Meier, Maxton and Maci Sauer; her sisters Barb Mercer and Jean (and Tom) Seifert. Along with many other family and friends.

I´m Sorry that you have all lost your sweet momma and your dad. I first met her thru Christian Woman´s club in 1984 when we first moved to MT- then at Assembly. They were both such great people. Our lives so paralleled each other- DOB, marriage, children-although my first husband died 15 yrs ago (Coney Island). You all have had great examples of Christianity and family. Blessings to all of you

I am so sorry to learn of Sandy´s passing. I met her in high school and she was always a wonderful friend. We worked together at DLI where Sandy was always helpful and kind. I´ll miss her and her happy personality.
