Diane Almira Moore

Diane Almira Moore, age 81, of Henry County, Georgia, was surrounded by loving family and friends when she passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Ms. Moore was born in Huntington, West Virginia on August 12, 1941. She was preceded in death by her father, David Christian, and mother, Louise Sorrells Minor. Prior to her retirement, Ms. Moore worked for NASA and the Department of Transportation. During her illustrious career, Ms. Moore completed fellowships at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and Harvard University in Massachusetts. Ms. Moore, who was divorced, is survived by three daughters (Dee Anne Moore of Georgia, Debra Moore of Georgia, and Michela Denise Kaigler of Massachusetts); seven grandchildren (Eric Moore, Eron Moore, Deandra Moore, Karhonda Moore, Joey Kaigler, Danielle Kaigler, and Ashlee Phillips); five siblings (Roy Goines, Sr., Cheryl White, David Minor, II, Fawn Christian Thurman, and David Christian, Jr.), and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ms. Moore, who was a devoted member of Andrews Chapel UMC in Jonesboro, GA, and Shilo UMC in Lovejoy, GA, was loved and will be greatly missed.
