Alva Dailey Obituary
ALVA "PERK" EDWARD DAILEY, 80, of Ona, WV, passed away June 22, 2025 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Charlie Henry. Burial will be private.
He was born May 9, 1945, a son of the late Alva Edward Dailey Sr. and Helen Pauline Crowder Dailey. He retired from INCO Alloys after 37 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lue Dailey; brothers, Roger Dailey and Rev. James L. Dailey; brother-in-law, Bill Thompson; and sister-in-law, Beverly Sue Dailey.
He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Blankenship (Darrell) of Barboursville; one son, Steven Dailey (Amanda) of Proctorville, OH; two sisters, Imogene Thompson and Elaine Henry (Dale), both of Ona; two sisters-in-law, Vera Floe Dailey of Ona and Mauna Dailey of Barboursville; one grandchild, Hunter Blankenship (Samantha) of Ona; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Special thanks to Hospice of Huntington for their love and care. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
