CALVIN H. CAMPBELL

CALVIN H. CAMPBELL, 90 years old, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in Beckley, W.Va. He was born in Chapmanville, W.Va., on November 6, 1924, a son of the late Everette and Alifair Campbell, one of nine children. He graduated from Chapmanville High School in 1942. One year later, he entered the U.S. Armed Forces and served in WWII in Italy. He was a graduate of Marshall College and later obtained a master's degree. He was retired from International Nickel with 36 years of service, an avid Marshall fan, a member of VFW Post 9738 and was a long time member of Guyandotte United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Martha. He is survived by one brother, Herb; two sons, Mark and Mike; a daughter, Suzanne; a daughter-in-law, Irina; three grandchildren, Mark, Cody and Jesse; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Lanny Coberly officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.
