Cledith Long Obituary
He was born July 21, 1938, in Huntington, WV, son of the late Major Verlin Long and Dorothy Louise Hanshaw Long. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Sherry Craig Long, son, Ricky Allen Long; brother, Charles Russell Long; and great-granddaughter, Katlyn Nikole Meadows.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Conyers Long; three daughters, Donna Edmond (Michael) of Barboursville, Tamara Bennett (Steven) of Ona, Kara Meadows (Scott) of Barboursville; daughter-in-law, Lillie Long of Barboursville; one stepson, Russell Fraley of Huntington; one sister, Betty Spurlock of Barboursville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, by Pastor Monty Foster. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the cemetery.
Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
