Clovis Johnson Obituary


CLOVIS MARTIN JOHNSON, 85, passed away May 19, 2025 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Pastor Ted Nance. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
He was born October 17, 1939, a son of the late Morris and Helen McComas Johnson. He was a heavy equipment operator in construction and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 132 for 63 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Johnson; one son Clovis Johnson Jr.; and two brothers Russell Johnson and John Johnson.
He is survived by one daughter Lora Dawn Smith (Tony) of Lesage; and one granddaughter Kayla Smith-Leung (Gabe); two sisters Benita Simpson of Huntington and Myrtle Gillium of Circleville; and two brothers Gaylord Johnson (Eilean) of Milton and Wayne Johnson (Paula) of Milton.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home.
