David Wayne Stiltner

DAVID WAYNE STILTNER, 70 of Fort Gay, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2023, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Brother Greenway Parsley and Brother Jeremy Watts. Burial will follow at Stiltner Cemetery, Genoa, W.Va. He was born April 26, 1953, in Louisa, Ky., a son of the late Wayne and LaEuna Kitts Stiltner. David was a retired coal miner with 42 years' perfect attendance at Pontiki Coal. He was also a brother at Riverbend Freewill Baptist Church in Crum, W.Va. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randall Stiltner; his grandparents, Ollie and Stella Stiltner; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tennessee and Dana Hannah; a brother-in-law, Etsel Rose; and a niece, Kristen Haley Stiltner. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Elaine Hannah Stiltner; two sons, Brandon Stiltner and wife Marsha of Wayne, W.Va., Kevin Michael Stiltner of Fort Gay, W.Va.; stepmother Diane Stiltner of Lavalette, W.Va.; three sisters, Lavonne Rose of Kermit, W.Va., Melissa Taylor of Bruce, Miss., Stephanie Wallace of Lavalette, W.Va.; two brothers, Greg Stiltner of Summerville, S.C., Dwayne Stiltner and "Bestest" Dawnita Young of Rush, Ky.; six grandchildren, Landon, Jasmine, Tyler, Chandler, Addisyn, Hayden; a host of nieces, nephew and cousins; and special friends, Robert Cook and family. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, W.Va. The family would like to thank his nurses, Hospice of Huntington, and especially his sister Stephanie for her love and care during his final days.
