Denise Ann Colegrove

DENISE ANN COLEGROVE, 68, of Ona, West Virginia, passed away Sunday morning, December 7, 2025 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. A devout Christian, Denise was the daughter of Jeff and Louise McCallister and is survived by her husband James, sister Karen, niece Sara, sons Anthony and Andrew, daughters-in-law Amanda and Lindsay, and granddaughter Claire, and a special friend Becky Bond. Denise was a faithful member of Barker Ridge United Baptist Church. Her heart was there when her physical limitations no longer allowed her to attend. She faced life-altering health issues with incomparable courage and was never heard complaining, and the family takes solace knowing her example was impactful to those who knew her.
Denise graduated from Milton High School, Marshall University, and worked as a nurse at St. Mary's. She loved cheering on the Herd, being a wife and mother, and spoiling her grandchild. She will be dearly missed, but she has obtained the prize she ran for.
The funeral will be held at Wallace Funeral Home in Milton, Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 11 a.m., and visitation will begin at 10 a.m. A burial service will follow at Forest Memorial Park.
