Donald Gue Obituary


DONALD EDWARD GUE of South Point, OH, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born on November 27,1941, in Kenova, WV, son of the late Donald and Ruth Gue. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Sue Smith Gue; three brothers, Bennie Gue, Larry Gue, and David Gue; and four sisters, Carolyn Whitt, Judy Hamilton, Doris Shepard, and Karen Smith. Donald is survived by three sisters, Sue Fannin of Rush, KY, Debra Sparkman of Kenova, WV, Shirley Conley of Ashland, KY, and one brother, Phillip Gue of Kenova, WV. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War; graduate of C-K High School and retired from BASF Chemical Plant in Huntington, WV. The funeral service will be at noon on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Wallace Family Funeral Home in South Point, OH. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH. Family and friends are welcome to visit prior to the service from 11 a.m. to noon, a time for shared memories and support. Wallace Family Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at www.wallaceffh.com.
