DONALD WILLIE MORRISON, 86, of Ona WV, passed away Sunday January 25, 2026, at Paramount Senior Living Center.
Funeral Servies will be conducted 2 p.m., Thursday January 29, 2026, at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Jerry Matt officiating. Visitation will start at 1 p.m. leading up until the service time. Burial will be in Morrison Cemetery.
Donald was born in Wayne County, WV on July 8, 1939, to the late Oda and Mollie Morrison. He was a member of Bloomingdale Salem Baptist Church. Donald worked for State Electric for 50 plus years before retiring in 2013. In his free time, he was an avid hunter and loved to go fishing with family and friends. You could also catch him in front of the television on Sundays watching a Nascar race, rooting for Fords, "none of those other Mickey Mouse automakers". Along with Donalds parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Cherie Morrison and brother Delbert Morrison. Survivors include his daughter Lisa Adkins (Tim) of Barboursville WV; three sons, Russell (Josie) Morrison of Culloden WV, Donald "Mark" and his wife Dusti Morrison of Kenova WV, and Stephen Morrison of Eleanor WV; seven grandchildren, Justin Adkins (Melissa), Jeremy Adkins, April (Ross) Harshbarger, Zachery, Tanner, Joshua, and Jacob Morrison; and seven great-grandchildren, Jamie, Colton, Tyler, Jason, and Kaleb Adkins, Palmer and Payson Harshbarger.
