Donald Staker Obituary
DR. DONALD EDISON STAKER, 98, of Huntington, WV passed away March 11, 2026, in Surfside Beach, SC. Graveside services will be conducted by Chapman's Mortuary at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2 p.m. with John Ferguson officiating.
Donald was born in Kermit, WV on November 30, 1927, the son of the late Frederick George and Nada Frazier Staker. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Floyd Staker, son Noah F. Staker, four brothers Fred Staker (Mildred), Dr. Norman Staker (Lois), Attorney Zane Grey Staker (Frances), Judge Robert Staker (Sue), and sister Virginia Staker Christman (Dick)
He is survived by two sons, Doug Staker (Michele) and William Staker (Jason Strow), and seven grandchildren, Noah Staker, Zachary Staker, Tyler Staker, Morgan Staker Bozzo, Abigail Staker, Zane Staker, and Noah Staker and one great - grandchild, Aurora Herald.
Donald was a graduate of Kermit High School, Marshall University, and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Donald served in the United States Navy as a Dental Officer aboard the U.S.S Fulton and later practiced Dentistry in Williamson and Huntington, WV for 42 years. He was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, Huntington WV.
