Dorval Hendrix Donahoe II

1963 - 2024

Born on July 23, 1963, in Springfield, Ohio, DORVAL HENDRIX "SCHOCH" DONAHOE II arrived home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 26 at 5:28 p.m. A service honoring his life will be held at River Ridge Church in Hurricane, WV, at 2 p.m. on June 29, 2024. Schoch was preceded in death by brother Ron Chambers; sister Julie Donahoe; father Dorval "Don" Donahoe; and mother Sue Donahoe. He is survived by sister Susie; brother Juan; wife Lara; children Caleb, Chance, Jesse, and Maggie; and grandchildren Gabe, Aurora, and Mila. Schoch was well-loved by all who knew him. He had a successful career in Pharmaceuticals for many years and generously served the community by utilizing his extraordinary gifts as a soundman, actor, and musician. Whether at home, church, school, or in the community, creating music with his family and others brought him the most joy in life. To know Schoch was to know joy and laughter: His vivacious smile, big personality, and booming laugh would brighten any room, bringing warmth and light to everyone around him. Schoch loved any music with a booming bassline, peanut butter on a spoon, history, and Bigfoot. He loved performing in community theater with family and friends in whatever place he called home. Above all, Schoch loved being a husband, father, "Pop," and generously poured his soul into being present for his family and friends. In hopes of furthering education and working towards a cure for Parkinson's Disease, his body has been donated to the human gift registry of WVSOM in Lewisburg, WV. Welcome home, Schoche!
