Elizabeth Baber

ELIZABETH LORENTZ SCHULTZ BABER, 94, of Huntington, WV passed away, Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Woodlands Retirement Community, Huntington, WV. She was born March 29, 1931 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late William Edgar and Elizabeth Bird Geiger Meredith.
She was a lifelong resident of Huntington, a 1948 graduate of Huntington East High School and a lifelong member of Beverly Hills Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Earles Schultz in 1987 and a grandson, Joey Clay.
She is survived by three children, Daniel Richard Schultz, Kathleen Geiger "Katie" Schultz and Amy Elizabeth Clay; step-daughter, Deborah Savalla; grandchildren, Hannah (Jason) Maher and Sara Jo Schultz; five great-grandchildren; special friends, Maurice and Christina Saleme.
For many years Lorentz was involved in the Green Acres Regional Center for Special Needs Children and Adults where Katie was employed. At her 50th High school Reunion in 1998, Lorentz revived her relationship with a childhood boyfriend, Ralph King Baber who she married in 1999. Ralph passed away in 2010. Lorentz spent her final years with Katie at the Woodlands Retirement Community in Huntington, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary and Cremation Services 1592 E. Pea Ridge Rd. Huntington, WV near Barboursville with Pastor Jim Plyburn officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. service time at the mortuary.
