1938 - 2016

GERALDINE CARTER, 77, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Milton, W.Va., went to her heavenly home May 3, 2016. She passed away at home, surrounded by family, after a long battle with COPD. Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2016, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, and funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 2 p.m. by Rev. Winford Curry. Burial will be at Bicker Cemetery. Geraldine was born August 28, 1938, in Milton, a daughter of the late William Pinkey White and Verbie Alford White. She was retired from JPMorgan Chase Bank. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ford C. Carter. Geraldine leaves behind four daughters, JoAnn (Randy) Curry, Hurricane, W.Va., Sandra (Dwayne) Osborne, Kandi (Mathew) Perry, and Bobbie (Robert) Greishaw, Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Kenneth (Sue) White, Port Orange, Fla.; two granddaughters, Cami Curry and Mikayla Nichols (Anthony Olivarez), Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandsons, Christopher (Casey) Curry, Hurricane, W.Va., Jamie (Nichole) Osborne, Los Angeles, Calif., Sean (Amanda) Osborne, Phoenix, Ariz., and Landon Greishaw, Sellersburg, Ind.; six great-granddaughters, Courtney, Crystina, Kasee, Addison, Madelyn and Claira; two great-grandsons, Chase and Brian; one great- great-grandson, Jayden; and a host of other family. Geraldine's daughters would like to express special thanks to Shirley Meadows of Milton, for her daily prayers and words of comfort.
