Glen Asbury Obituary

GLEN ROGER ASBURY, 81, of Martinsburg, WV (formerly Huntington, WV) passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025 at Harmony of Martinsburg.
He was born Jan. 15, 1944 in Huntington, WV. He was the son of the late Glen Asbury and Virginia Fortner. After a long career in welding and safety supply sales, he retired in 2015 as a National Sales Manager from Air Products. He was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. Glen loved playing golf, whether it was on a local course around Huntington with his friends or on golf trips up and down the east coast. He and Joyce shared many dear friendships over the years and enjoyed evening dinners and dessert with all of them. His true love was watching his grandchildren grow up and enjoy their passions in sports and dance.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bachtel Asbury; son, Bill Asbury and wife Debbie, of Flanders, NJ, daughter, Kim Boyd and husband Chris, of Charles Town, WV; grandchildren, Haley, Jake and Christian & Stormy; sister, Helen Bartram, of Powell, OH; nieces, Sheryl Tank, Stephanie Contini; nephews, Casey Frye, Blake Frye and sister-in-law, Rita Frye.
A private graveside service will be held at Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Kearneysville, WV.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, 1358 W. Pea Ridge Rd., Huntington, WV 25705.
Arrangements are by the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Ranson, WV.
