James Cava Obituary



JAMES "JIM" A. CAVA, of Huntington, born March 24, 1960, passed away November 22, 2024, at the age of 64 with his family by his side.
Jim was an avid sports photographer and boxing coach.
He loved campfires and telling stories. He had a positive impact on kids throughout his life through youth activities and coaching.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 45 years, Tammy Call Cava, two sons, Alexander (Mary) Cava, Jimmy (Janet) Cava and four grandchildren he adored and spoiled, J. T., Jack, Zac and Juliet Cava.
He is also survived by one aunt, Linda Mahaffey, siblings, Glenna, Erma, Eddie, Lois, Bruce, Lila and Anna. Also special to Jim were Polly Tiller, Mollie Bannister and Alaya Mitchell as well as countless other beloved family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Jim Butcher.
Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
