JERRY ALLEN McCOMAS, 57, of Oakland, Md., formerly of Milton, W.Va., died July 16, 2016, as a result of an ATV accident. Born October 17, 1958, in Charleston, W.Va., he was the son of Ronald E. and Ilva Turnes McComas of Missouri. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tiffany Dawn McComas. Jerry was employed by Simon Pearce for 30 years as the Executive Director of Glass Production and was instrumental in establishing the Oakland branch. He was very meticulous with the appearance and maintenance of his lawn. Jerry enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing and hunting, and was a devoted "Pa Pa" to his grandson. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Della M. McComas; two sons, Jesse E. McComas and wife Claudia of Oakland, Md., Joey E. McComas, also of Oakland; one daughter, Hollie G. McComas of Oakland, Md.; two brothers, Kevin McComas of Missouri and Craig McComas of Pennsylvania; a special grandson, Jensen Allen McComas; several nieces, nephews and cousins; friends Steve Thacker; Paul Barbour and wife Sheila. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at 5 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Moon officiating. Friends will be received at Chapman's Mortuary, 2851 3rd Ave., Huntington, WV, on Friday from noon to 2 p.m. with services following at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va.
