John Childers Obituary
JOHN EDWARD CHILDERS, 68, of Barboursville, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born June 26, 1957 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of Anna Jean Childers and the late, Carl "Duke" Childers.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Thornton Childers; one daughter, Christina Brown (Raymond); one sister, Susan Young; and a host of other family and friends.
The family would like to thank Cabell Huntington Hospital for their love and care.
Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Jimmy Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock.
