About
John Hovey Obituary
He is survived by his wife Linda (Shelton) Hovey. He is also survived by his three special friends, who he loved very much: Jase, Lucas, and Nolan Cox and their parents, Bethany and Justin Cox.
John graduated from Huntington High School in 1962 and went on to graduate from Marshall University.
He was a district manager at Sears Roebuck and Company and, later, a crime scene technician for the Huntington Police Department. His police family held a special place in his heart.
A special thanks to Rebecca and Bruce Powers for their love and support during his final days.
There will be a graveside service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 2 p.m. with Reverend Trent Eastman officiating. Friends may call from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in John's honor to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House or to the Cabell-Wayne animal shelter.
