Johnnie Bailey Obituary
JOHNNIE BAILEY, 88, of Huntington, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2026.
Johnnie lived a life defined by hard work, courage, and commitment to others. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After serving his country, he continued his public service by joining the Huntington Fire Department. Johnnie was a faithful member of Sunshine Baptist Church and the Huntington Masonic Lodge 53.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Lou; his sons, Tony Bailey and John W. Bailey; and his daughter, Lisa Short.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law Connie Bailey; his grandchildren Jeremy Bailey (Nicole), Brandon Bailey (Prissy), Travis Bailey (Maranda), Bryce Bailey; and his great-grandchildren Grayson, Cloey, Paislee, Callie, and Evie. He is also survived by his step-granddaughter Sandy Towe (Wes), along with their children Dakota, Haylynn, and Kaison; and his step - granddaughter Mary Cardwell (Darvin).
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, March 9th, 2026, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington with a service at 1 p.m. Burial services will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park.
